Don't know how many EU shops are hosted on Auctiva Storefronts but since signing up for VAT (value added tax) I am having some issues integrating with Google shopping.
For VAT google expect the shipping price and product price in the feed to include VAT, this is not possible with current settings so I am going to have to manually update a feed file to show the correct pricing, I have around 500 products I am going to have to work through now.
They also require the price on the website to be VAT inclusive, which is normally a legal requirement unless you sell business to business, I do both so I am ok showing the price not including VAT, but google don't like that either.
There is a setting to show the VAT inclusive price, but it shows the exlusive and inclusive price and the way it shows the prices in the shop is horrible, when turned on I get fewer sales, from what I can tell cannot be edited through CSS. Ideally I should just be able to show the VAT inclusive price only which is standard practice.
I have filed a ticket for this, but I am not confident any solution will be found, The platform just does not have the integration to deal with VAT in a way that google and I are happy with, so after nearly 8 years using Auctiva I think I am going to have to try another platform... sigh
